How He speaks...!!

God speaks! From Genesis to Revelation, we see a God who speaks into emptiness and chaos and creates beautiful things out of those ashes. I love the stories of the great men and women of God in the Bible, to whom He appears in the most unexpected ways. He shows up when they least expect it, He shows up to the most common people. He shows up to the unlikely, the overlooked and the everyday — just like you and me. And then, He does the unthinkable — He speaks! Oh, how He speaks.

I’m not trying to sound like I love Him more than you. I know when you come closer to Him, you cannot but admire Him like this. Because, let’s be real- He is God! And He speaks to us, wherever we are!!

He may not have spoken to me or you like He spoke to Moses in the burning bush, asking him to go tell Pharaoh to let His people go. But He does speak to us time and again: 'Be still, and know that I am God.' I’m sure you have your own set of testimonies if you have walked with Him for a while now. Or maybe you are just getting to know Him, and you are even more hungry for Him to speak. If so, you’re on the right path, and He’s not going to disappoint you— He never does."

those who hope in me will not be disappointed. (Isaiah 49: 23)

One of the powerful and primary ways God speaks to us is through the Word of God. He speaks like no one else through the Word of God. There have been times I’ve gone to the Word only to find the answer I needed waiting for me all along in that Bible portion that I was supposed to read that day. Those pages are one of the best and most powerful ways He speaks to our hearts. As you grow closer to Him, His Word burns like fire in your bones as you turn the pages of those Scriptures.

But His Word was in my heart like a burning fire 

Shut up in my bones; (Jeremiah 20:9)

If you’ve been seeking guidance, looking for answers that you cannot explain in your life, or wanting the direction of your life to change for the better, look no further than the Word of God. For God speaks through it directly to your heart. And He who created everything knows everything and sees everything. He knows you and is waiting to speak to you today.
